©ANNA CARLSON - Woven Therapeutic Bodywork Massage Healing Arts

With a rich background in working alongside other holistic practitioners, and as a preferred provider for health insurance plans in Washington and New Mexico, I have worked for the last 21 years refining my medical massage practice treating a wide array of acute and chronic conditions.

I began my journey in the healing arts studying Psychology, and received my Bachelor of Arts from Michigan State University in 1993.  In my undergraduate work I held various research and clinical positions that helped me identify the need to be human and present with others.  In this process it became clear that expanding my studies into bodywork at the Brian Utting School of Massage in Seattle, WA, I would more effectively integrate a balanced approach to wellness.

After graduating in 1996, I have been dedicated to an ongoing commitment to refining my skills as a bodyworker.  In addition to my techniques I practice, I hold advanced certifications in Prenatal and Postpartum Massage, Intraoral Massage, Myofascial Release, Orthopedic Assessment and Treatment, Manual Lymphatic Drainage, and Oncology Massage. In exploring the frontier of integrative medicine, I am particularly excited to be pursuing additional Oncology and indigenous healing massage trainings to assist clients in their healing journey.

The emphasis in my sessions is always on supporting greater ease in a client’s body, and an enhanced sense of balance and well being. I apply this same philosophy in my personal life as well.  To this end, I am an active outdoor enthusiast, lover of world travel, and a dedicated wife and mother of twin daughters.  I look forward to growing in my work, and sharing with you an expanded vision of health and wellness.
